"Waimea Boilers"
by Steve Tracy
At Waimea Bay, 30-foot waves crashed on the shore. As an eye-witness,
it was an awesome sight! The last foam to hit the shore was five feet
thick and stirred about like a boiling pot. From a distance, you could
see the few who ignored the dangers of the fierce tidal waves surf their
way to shore. The beach was live from these boilers, giving birth to
huge thunderous avalanches of water and sand that caused the ground to
shake. What a rare and colorful sight to see!
