"Second Vertical Magnolias"
by Steve Tracy

Magnolias or man-golias, my chinese friend was from Mongolia. This was very fun to create. The large fleshy leaves were of a hybrid planted in front of my studio when I was in San Francisco. This was an especially fragrant, almost pungent, concentrate of sweet aroma. The whole block was spritzed with the par fume. The petals and their nuances reminded me of human flesh. The background, the mosaics of ancient Roman. As the lilies fret not at being clothed, why should we?
